Kett Jett Kit Review

The Kett Jett Kit with Iwata Airbrush

The Kett Jett Kit provides a great introduction to Airbrush Makeup. Used by professionals worldwide, this kit provides everything you will need to do paint professional airbrush makeup in next to no time. Although the price tag is quite significant, Kett Cosmetics is a very respectable and well-known brand, and you can’t really get much of a better start than this kit.

This kit is used by many beauty experts in the field. I have colleagues who use this kit on location on film sets to touch up makeup in between sets all the time. The quality is as you would expect from Kett Cosmetics, and I think that the Kett airbrushes themselves are generally of better quality than those of Dinair. The airbrush in this kit feels weighty and professional. Furthermore, if you aren’t satisfied with the standard Iwata airbrush you can always order another one of the excellent airbrushes as an extra. This kind of customizability makes this kit truly special. Not only can you use it in almost any location but you can also order extra parts depending on the type of look you want to achieve.

The compressor is a reasonable size and only weighs about 2 and a half pounds. The compressor is quite quiet and is extremely consistent in it’s application. Unfortunately, the compressor is designed for use on the face and neck and you will find it to be too slow to use effectively to paint large areas of the body. If you are looking for body makeup then you may want to consider a different product.

This kit comes with a wide range of starting colors, designed to accommodate the large majority of skin tones. This is different from the Dinair starter kit where you can order only the colors that you need. The extra colors can be useful to have on hand if you are dealing with a diverse clientele but if you are ordering this kit for your own personal use, then it is probably not worthwhile to have the entire range.

Although this kit is used extensively by experts, this kit can, and is, used in a wide range of settings from photography studios to salons to home users. The compressor is quite portable and everything is very reliable. Having said this, I’m not sure if the price warrants a home-purchase. If I were looking for an airbrush kit at home, I would go for the Dinair starter kit as I don’t think the extra cost for this kit is worth it.

The cost is really the only issue with this product. At around $700 dollars, it is much more expensive than the Dinair kit which retails for around $300. Despite this, if you are working professionally and want excellent results, then I would say that this is the kit for you. If, however, you are more customizability and better value then have a look at the Dinair range. Furthermore, if you are looking to do large areas of the body then perhaps this kit will not provide you with enough power.

Go for Dinair or another brand, I’ve had real problems with Kett Cosmetics! It’s not even as if they are that cheap..ths set me back $800 and it’s not that reliable
