I have worked with the Luminess product, just to test it out… TERRIBLE! Waste of time, money, and energy.

I bought the platinum series about 2 years ago, followed the application instructions as well as the cleaning/care instructions. The stylus would spit out an uneven flow no matter how many times I adjusted it, cleaned it, and switching the air flow level on the mini compressor.

The foundation never matched my skin tone no matter if I mixed shades, DID NOT COVER MY MALASMA SPOTS, make up coverage was VERY POOR, I tried apply several light layers only to end up on my facial towel and down the drain from washing it off out of frustration. This product is not good for combination/oily T-Zone skin. Make up is the worse I have tried, returned to using mineral make up and brushes.

The “Make Up Club” is a scam, over priced, never had the color of blush I wanted to try, because the provided in the kit was way to pink for my skin color. I have contacted the customer service regarding charges, would get the double talk, never received a straight forward truthful answer. Good thing I closed the account…

Now it just sit in a box, make up expired and I have no interest in reordering this product because it does not deliver what the product claims.

I should have invested in the higher priced air brush systems, because Luminess Air did not compare to the superiorty of the well known brands.

i have a luminess machine and i have no problem with it. i also had it for about six months or longer and i have not had any problems with it. the coverage is flawless and i tried tempt and hated it. it was to heavy and did not match good. so really it every person preference which machine they like. so i stand behind luminess but i will say they need go down on the price of their make up itself because it is really pricey. and that the difference between dinair and them.

I bought a luminess air and was really happy with it for the first month. However, after that it began to stop periodically, sputter (no matter how well I clean it), and finally it just stopped spraying altogether. I called customer service (always transferred overseas) and they tried to help me troubleshoot (didn’t work) so offered to sell me a replacement airbrush for $20. I took it (unknowingly), and now after replacing the airbrush and one successful application it broke AGAIN. Unusable, STAY AWAY. Poor quality, inferior products; the makeup itself was awful, if a drop of moisture got on it it ran and smudged so even when it did work I used MAC HD makeup.

Overall, a fail. I agree with cj that a class action should probably go through, at least a BBB filing.

i just purchased this product and have used it only once.ewveryone noticed that i did something different with my face(positive).after reading negative reviews im concerned. just have to wait and see what happens!!

I bought this and used it 4 times then it broke! From the beginning It was very hard to use and apply the makeup evenly but then the wand just stopped working. Its junk don’t buy it

Honestly, I have had a really great experience with the product. Like anything else it took me a bit to get used to but now i love it and so does everyone I know! It was very user friendly which for me is great because i can be very ditsy at times but really…i would reccomend it to anyone and I have!

I have had my system, Luminess Air, for almost 3 years and it has worked flawlessly! The foundations are incredible and I won’t trade my system for anything!!

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! Product is defective. Broke after 2nd use, within trial period and they refused to take it back. Sent broken replacement. Five nighmarish months later, hundreds of $$$ and time with “customer service” wasted. I hope a class action lawsuit is filed against them.

I love my Luminess air! I use to wear expensive liquid foundation and a dual finish powder, it did feel heavy and cakey but I thought that it was a better alternative then people staring at my acne. one day i was walking around the mall and saw a makeup artist using it on a girl that had similar skin to mine. Skeptical that something so airy could cover up any acne, I waited to get a chance my self. As i sat in the chair and felt the cool air hit my skin (wow what a nice feeling for irritated skin) a few minutes later she said that she was done, Done? I looked in the mirror and I couldn’t believe that it covered my acne better then my thick and cakey foundation. I believe that has been the best purchase that I have ever made! I highly recommend this to anyone that issues or is just plain sick of heavy coverage..
